what a crazy night. dfj and i just went to some weird womens club party out of nowhere, got really drunk off of a bunch of wine, somehow broke a door and broke one of my toes on my right foot.

this is my father and I. The reason I look so grum is because my team was down 3-0 and we roared back with 2 quick goals going into the 3rd period at 2-3, then somehow blew it bigtime and lost 2-7. I wish my moustache grew in as full as my fathers. either way, my hockey team is in last place on the wednesday nights mens league at lakeshore sports center. The last couple games I have been progressivly getting worse. I was only a -1 last night in a game that our team was a -5, but I still don't feel like I contributed at all.

Who cares though right?

Upon getting naked with my team and showering after a shameful loss, my body was left smelling like mango body wash. Then a quick rub on of some apricot deodorant and I was out the door smelling like the best hockey player Muskegon has ever smelled, I assure you. I rode my bike (with about 40 lbs of hockey equiptment) to the game from my parents. I keep my equipment there because it is only 1 mile from the ice place and they have more room to sprawl my stuff out to dry. When going around back (its all woods) i notice my bike is gone. Fucking A right? Trying to save a little gas, since my truck is in the shop which I will soon have to fork over $800+ in repairs, i need to buy gas as little as possible. Some mother fucker HAD to have followed me in, because there was no way in hell some random person is going to be walking through the cold ass woods that late at night, or ever for that matter. Now I am left without my winter bike, and have to buy a new bike trailer hitch. Just cause some dumbfuck piece of scum can ride my bike i put my heart and soul into. But I sit with it, knowing I have a supreme idea in my head how I can people like them suffer in extreme agony.

So I come to you Livejournal friends to see who wants to go in with me and buy one of those GPS tracking units they sell for dogs. I have decided in my spare time I want to purposely leave expensive bikes with the GPS system installed in the seat tube of the bike, so that when it gets stolen, it can be tracked down. The look on the mother fuckers face when I walk into their house with a baseball bat will be worth all the money it costs. Then after that, its like free entertainment right? That seems like a better idea for my life than anything I have going for me now right? Who else is in besides Bike Steve?

its wack that there is no matchmaking for Halo: odst FIREFIGHT. i don't know anyone else who got the game, so finding teamates is fucking bogus. if there isn't news of matchmaking coming out for it soon im trading it in for NHL10. plus my xbox live is running out soon. so is my hardrive. zach is going to give me his spare 20gig, so my roomates don't clutter my space with fallout maps and stuff. haha.

i just ran a 7:26 mile. probably, no im sure is the best time i have ever had in my life.
really trying to eat as healthy as possible on a dirt poor budget. I have been on the ice practicing my stickhandling twice a week. icetime is frickin' spensive. October 7th is my first night playing for the Muskegon community college's new jockey team (that is if no more really good guys sign up and i get booted during tryouts) that would suck. its not gonna happen though cause every day im gonna be bustin my balls getting better.

recently Fruit Salad, whom most of you know is my alltime favorite punk band just played their last show ever, because their guitarist who has lived in Boston his whole life is moving to New York. I feel Fruit Salad was one of the most underrated punk bands in the world. They are so totally uplifting. Their singer Matt is one of the best punk friends I have ever made in my entire Punk Life.

I told their bassist that I was going to suprise the rest of the guys and come out for their last show. Unfortunately with work I would either have to quit my job, potentially losing nearly im guessing $2,000 from football season and take a greyhound bus for $118 out to boston. Or keep my job pay $350 to fly out to Boston then fly back home the next afternoon which would be painfully expensive for me right now (it would all have to be put on a credit card obviously since i don't have that spare change laying around) because who pays that much money to go see a band play and only get to see your buds for like 20 hours... shit. anyway it came down to it and I didn't go. It might have been one of the largest mistakes of my life, cause looking at it in the longrun $350 will mean nothing to me in 5 years but saying I saw my favorite band of alltime play its last show will surely stick out. Oh well I did get to PLAY with them for their second to last show that surely means a lot aswell.

oh and Matty Salad is going to be a roadie touring buddy for the 5 day Tropiezo/Positive Noise MI/IL/WI tour in October. BE JEALOUS! IM SOOO EXCITED!!!!

im actually going to just keep this entire journal of tour in this one post instead of making a new post every day. so if you are interested in whats going on just come back to this post.

DAY 1
(show mount pleasant, mi. in Lansing michigan.)

suppose i will keep a tour journal about this tour.
i screened 15 shirts and 10 pairs of swimming trunks within like two hours of leaving today. really hectic. i had to deal with some bogus charges that appeared on my credit card from MATCH.com what the fuck right? anyways. sock and I picked ryan up, sadly couldnt stop to see jill and her prints of the pics from TC. bummer. anyways we met kevin in mount pleasant. he brought the crucial cause guys. all early 20 something year old from san fransico california. they seem so intriqued on our vegan ways. i hope they don't think we are some kinda snobs or whatever. I am going totally raw for the 10 days this tour is. day one. huge success. sock shared a almond salad with me earlier. and kevin cooked some mad marinara salad with coconut bacon in it. f'in equisit! i love my buds. ok anyways the crucial cause dudes are pretty rad. bigtime fun loving dudes who love to drink. the singer totally almost got laid at the show tonight! lack of a condom was the only thing holdin' him back. haha! i was like, how the hell do you come into my state and attract the babes so easily? and he was like ya just gotta act interested at first and then be a complete dick to them and they will follow you everywhere. fucking shit, the majority of girls seem to be into assholes. girls like that are dumb what the fuck?
anyways that was stupid shit.. the show ruled. two bands from NJ Plague bearer and i forgot the other band openend. then positive noise played a real short awesome set. crucial cause ripped it up next, i thought their set was too long though. then under anchor played totally brilliantly. roarik their singer is one of the nicest guys i have ever met. we are borrowing his van for this tour. its really roomy, has like two couches, and a power inverter on it. with red lights inside! should be a sweet tour for sure. im selling shirts and swimming shorts for food money! hehehe. BUY MY SHIRTS! i sold more swimming shorts tonight than shirts! haha, they are short shorts with a green heart on the booty! :)
i love my band. summer rules. im probably gonna have to drive most of the way to D.C. tomorrow. better get sleeping. miss all the buds back home already. woop woop!

DAY 2
(in washington DC)

damn we did like an 11 hour drive to DC. only stopping like 3 times. i slept a lot of the way. my back is pretty sore. the show was at a huge church basement. positive noise openend to only about a third of what the crowd was by the end of the show. crucial cause played next. then sick fix, cokebust, asshole parade, and finally magrudergrind. my voice is totally blown out and im really sqeaky and horse. really embarassing. some curry garbonzo dish, rice, garlic bread, and salads were prepared for the bands. great show. being raw on the 48 hour mark is weird. i have been eating enough but its a weird kinda full. hopefully i can hit up a whole foods to use my bridge card with and get some food with some different kinda nutrients in them other than just salad vegetables. still havent pooped yet this tour. there are tons of fine looking ladies in this town. one was overly interested in talking to me, but the second she lit up a cigarette i kinda lost interest in talking to her. not that i could really talk to her anyways cause my voice is so thrashed. i should probably go all day tomorrow without talking. damn. im at chris sick/coke/magruder's house. what a nice house. he has two boston retrievers that are like crazy alien dogs. lots of people are up hanging out but i feel like being a loner tonight and gettins some sleep. probably can't fall asleep but who cares. no alex ovechkin sightings yet. tomorrow is a pretty short drive to new jersey. oh and the crucial cause guys are all about rubbing gold bond powder on their balls and got me hooked on it. im the only posinoise member who will do it though. its like a mild peppermint oil that leaves a great cool breezy tingle on your scrotum. it also drys out all the sweatyness. i think i might be a fan.

First things are first, thursday nights are always Roller hockey nights at Central Park in Spring Lake. I have been doing this on somewhat of a weekly ritual for the last 3 summers now. People come and go, but I have made a lot of new friends. Some guys that go are the stereotypical jock types, but that just makes me work harder to do better than them and makes winning oh so much sweeter. I am always constantly trying to make new friends outside of my comfort zones which usually is the punk scene. Roller hockey is the perfect place to get some exercise, better my skills at this beloved sport, and make new friends.

after hockey I went out to Nunica where my friends Lori and Zach live in a trailer park. Earlier in the day I had hit up the Health Hutt for ingredients to cook them dinner. The recipe was for Bratwaurst with sauerkraut. I got teh recipe from my Florida/Missouri friend Aysia Scheerer. We ate til our stomachs almost burst and watched the ENTIRE season Three of DEXTER that night. I really got into that show, watching all three seasons in a week. that is a lot of time in front of a television mind you. I was craving lots of alonetime, so it worked out pretty good.

After a very inebriated night out on the strip of grand haven, i somehow biked back home 15 miles to awake to the noise of sock using his new typewriter in the back yard. I began getting band stuff together and shortly thereafter Kevin and Ryan arrived. We headed out to Ludington which is north of Muskegon, I hadn't been there in years. Pretty much the only reason to go any more north in Michigan is to eat cherries in Traverse city, hang out in Alpena with my grand parents or do anything in the upper peninsula, obviously.
Bunny Skulls and Positive noise played at a big Skateboard tournament. Im pretty sure we either blew people's minds or left them with the "WHAT THE FUCK IS THAT" look on their faces.

THE NEXT DAY
MICHIGAN MELTDOWN

this is where my camera decided it would start reformatting my memory cards without warning. if you don't know what that means, in lamens terms it means it deletes all your precious pictures for no reason. stupid ass camera. I have no pictures of michigan meltdown of my own, so i am stealing pictures that karen and a girl from detroit took. they are way better than any I would have taken anyways.

Michigan Meltdown was amazing, aside from the small amount of negativity started by one band that I had a lot of respect for, which is all flushed down the shitter now, the show went soooo well and was jam packed.   PUNK PUNK PUNK PUNK man what a great show!

Afterwards there was a huge hangout at the Suicide house. Ryan had brought home 10 pizzas from Brickroad pizza and they were annhilliated within 3 minutes, im not even kidding!

I skipped out on getting a ride back to Muskegon with the Grand Rapids folk cause I had my bicycle and my friend Jill wanted to bike to Muskegon the following day for the beach bonfire. My friend Britty let me stay the night over her house. Hung out for a bit with big papa Graham and all of their three marvelous black kitties of assorted sizes. One is small, one is big, and one is long.

-Morning came and Jill came over. I did a bit of strechin' and we were off.
what a great ride. Jill is probably the second best biking partner i've ever had. Nobody can top thee Mr. Bike steve obviously.

We took a pit stop for munchies at my parents house in Fruitport, relaxed at my house for a bit then went to the beach to start collecting firewood. People started showing up and it was a blast. Beach Bonfire nights Rule Bigtime!

great night, jill and I watched an episode of The Mighty Boosh and hit the hay shortly thereafter.
man i remember how good my body felt that night. it was like the best achy soreness you could imagine. had to have logged around 50 miles that day. No sunburn at all. FOR THE WIN! that might be a first. haha.

Then in the morning Jill and I hit up meijer's to make some breakfast. Her friend, Jenna Jablonski (best last night ever right?) from Philadelphia came over to help out.

Then of course what I have been waiting for for a long time. The three of us met up with Casey Spoelman and Bmoney. Borrowed my friend DFJ's parents Kayaks and Casey brought his canoe and we hit up the open waters of Lake Michigan. This day couldn't be topped.

then afterwards we scrambled to return the kayaks and make it to the getty drive ins in time to see Bruno. turns out because of penis' being on they can't show it at a drive in facility due to little kids being able to see the screens since they are outdoors. bummer. we got there and ended up watching terminators, then got bored of it, then watched a johnny depp movie but got bored with that and wished we were back at terminators. I for some reason thought it would be a great idea to drink 6 bottle of 8.5% beers. which made me watch the second feature Year One in double vision the rest of the night. Really embarassing im sure moments followed when for some reason I ended up naked in my parents pool. The rest of the night was a blurry night of smiles. Guess its a good thing we forgot the camera here.

the following day recovering from a hangover I decided to go to a bar. hahaha. not drinking of course, but to see my friend Phill rap on stage. Muskegon IRO crew members Travis Dodge and Corey bickford rode to DFJ's house where I repaired a flat tire for him and the four of us rode out to Dreamers.

so who doesn't like to go camping? jill rode her bike the 45 miles to muskegon with a huge ass bag on her back in like record time right?
we get to the beach and not a fucker is there except cortnee and erin who arrived at the same time we did! i guess bmon was right, beach bonfires don't happen unless I go early, and MAKE the fire. what the hell ? just cause im awesome at making fires doesn't mean other people should give up and go home!

anyways we met this 15 year old runaway boy in the dunes named JT. he was pretty quiet and cool. he had no place to go and since we had two tents and only two people i offered mine to him.

so 11 oclock rolls around and travis dodge and lady and corey bickford who showed up later after their open mic night was over. so most people are getting ready to leave but me and jill are real hungy since nobody brought food, so we take off to go get food and i have a flat tire. i run into blake mudge having sex with his lady in the dunes and they brought me home, i fixed my flat, met jillber at meijers, we got almonds, mad kraut, dogs, bunyuns, and the conds to go with. we meet up at bronson again at like midnight. there was JT with a huge amount of wood! he collected it all while he waited for us to go get food.

these are casey spoelman and I's film as lit projects. Film as literature was a class in fruitport highschool where you watched films and disected them and had group discussions about themes and junk in the movies. at the end of the class for a final project you had to take one character from each of the films you watched during the semester and make your own video with all of the characters interacting. If anyone can guess all of the characters in every movie I will seriously send you a badass gift of some sort.

its so fucking hot. 90+F is too much for me to handle. i've literally been sweating bullets just sitting doing relatively nothing. ive been drinking a ton of water. sock bought me a dolphin pump. flouride free water supply in my room. 5 gallons at a time. more water means cooler less crazy moments. i just ate a whole pizza and a jar of applesauce. bad casey. i should be sleeping. The other day I took some speakers out of an old television that was in a junkyard and replaced them with the broken speakers in my truck! I now have surround sound pumping out swedish hardcore music whenever I drive my truck. I am also thinking next time I have a spare $20 to flush down the toilet I am going to spraypaint my truck neon green. long live the 86' isuzu p'up!!!

anyways,dfj , sock4_never and I biked down to the beach on a spur of the moment, lets go cool off trip. while there we met with blampy and shjh2448 .

i brought my camera and some nice pics were taken.
oh and check out my new chain on my bike! oh my goodness, its like riding a brand new bike! new chains are so good.

anyways. i made rent just barely by workin some odd hours at the tv station. My room addition is almost complete and almost have the mini studio set up so I can edit out of my house. i think i like my new arrangement. its cool to have a lot of room, but damn its so stuffy and hot up here. i'll post some nice new room pictures as soon as i get this place a little more tidier. If I can make some extra money this month I am gonna buy a cheap little HD camcorder that can also take decent stills. My dad is going to buy me a 1TB (1,000 gigabytes, holy cow) external hardrive when i get this editing thing all set up. I am gonna need it when I work for his company editing the Muskegon Heights Tigers football games towards the end of August.
